Getting started
Add Video Controls Plus from the Chrome Web Store, Microsoft Edge Add-ons or Firefox Add-ons, and speed control works as soon as it is installed.
Your first video with Video Controls PlusOpen a video, change the speed with the bracket keys, find the widget and the popup, and see which controls need a sign-in.
Pause the extension on one sitePause Video Controls Plus on a single site from the popup, for 1 hour, 4 hours, 1 day, 1 week, or until you turn it back on.
User guide
Change video speed in 0.1x steps with the bracket keys or the widget slider up to 4x, type a custom speed up to 16x, and use 8 preset speeds.
Loop a part of a video with an A-B loopSet point A and point B and the video replays the stretch between them, forever, once, or 1 to 20 times; the A-B loop needs a sign-in.
Boost the audio past 100%Raise a video's volume up to 400% and switch on normalize to even out loud and quiet parts; audio boost needs a sign-in.
Adjust the picture with video filtersAfter you sign in, set brightness, contrast and saturation from 0% to 200%, use grayscale, invert or night mode, and save up to 20 presets.
Take a screenshot of a video framePress Ctrl + Alt + C to save the current video frame as PNG or JPEG, download it or copy it, with an optional timestamp; it needs a sign-in.
Take notes and add bookmarks while you watchSave notes with the video timestamp from the widget's Tools tab, export them as Markdown, text or JSON, and add a bookmark at the current moment.
Watch in Picture-in-PicturePress Ctrl + Alt + P to put the video in a Picture-in-Picture window, or let it enter on its own when you scroll away; it works signed out.
Skip intros, recaps and credits automaticallyAuto-skip clicks the skip buttons that Netflix, Prime Video and YouTube show; it is off by default and needs a sign-in.

Keyboard shortcuts
Every default key in Video Controls Plus: letter and digit keys need Ctrl + Alt, and only the bracket, punctuation and Esc keys work alone.
Change a keyboard shortcutGive any shortcut another key in Settings, switch shortcuts off one by one or by section, and keep your keys across devices while signed in.
Platforms
On YouTube the core controls work as on any site, and each of the YouTube extras has its own switch in Settings; most are on by default.
Video Controls Plus on NetflixSpeed and the core controls work on Netflix; the Netflix extras are off until you switch them on, and recovery keys take over in one case.
Video Controls Plus on LinkedInOn LinkedIn the core video controls work, and a set of LinkedIn tools run from the widget or the right-click menu; switches are in Settings.
