Share a moment and watch together
Share & watch together on the widget's Tools tab shares a link at the current moment and records a clip shaped for social posts. It also starts a watch party. Sharing a moment needs no account, while a social clip and a watch party need a connected account, and in a party every person who joins needs one.
Share this moment
Press Share this moment. The panel shows the link at the current time, the same link Ctrl + Alt + X copies.
- Copy link puts it on your clipboard.
- The QR code is made on your device. Save QR code saves it as a PNG.
- The buttons below send it to X, Facebook, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Telegram, Reddit or Email.
Clip for social
Pick a Clip shape: Original, Square 1:1 or Vertical 9:16. Then press Clip for social. It records with the clip recorder, cropped to the center of the picture, and ■ Stop clip ends it. It does not work on protected video.
Start a watch party
- Open the video you want to watch together.
- Press Start a watch party.
- Press Copy invite link, or share the 10-character party code.
- A friend who gets the invite link sees a website page called "You are invited to watch together" and presses Open the video and join. A friend with the code opens the same video, types it under Party code and presses Join.
While the party runs, the widget shows who is there and the code. Play, pause, a jump to a new time and the speed stay in step for everyone, up to 20 people.
Leave takes you out. End the party is for the host, and a party also ends by itself after 6 hours. One person can have up to 3 parties running at a time.
There is no chat. Use whatever you already talk in.
What a party sends and keeps
The live sync runs through Supabase Realtime and only the party's members receive it. The play, pause, jump and speed messages are not stored.
The party itself keeps the video's address and title and the party code. It also keeps who joined and when. The privacy page has the details.
Messages you may see
