Tours on the website and the How it works page
The Video Controls Plus website can show you around its pages, and a six-step walkthrough explains the whole product.
Take a tour of a page
- Open one of the pages that has a tour: Home, Features, Plans, Install, Dashboard, Notes or Settings.
- Press the tour button in the header, just before the theme button. Its name is "Take a tour of this page".
- Press Next and Back to move through the steps, or All steps to jump to any one of them.
- Press Skip tour, the close button or
Escto leave at any time.
The first time you open one of those pages, a small hint points at the button: "New here? Take a short tour of this page." It shows once per page, and leaves by itself after 8 seconds. Signed in, the hint remembers the pages you've seen on every device.
On a phone, each step opens as a sheet at the bottom of the screen. A step whose part of the page isn't on screen is left out, so a tour can be a step or two shorter on a phone. The Dashboard and Notes tours also have a short version for when you're signed out.
Walk through Video Controls Plus
The How it works page has six steps, from your first video to connecting your account:
- Control any video
- The widget and your keys
- Extras on YouTube, Netflix and LinkedIn
- Notes, screenshots and your library
- AI and Speak
- Connect the extension to your account
Move between steps with Back and Next, the arrow keys or a swipe. Each step has its own address, so /how-it-works?step=3 opens step 3. The footer links it as See how it works.
