Pause the extension on one site
Open the popup on the site and click Pause on this site. That switches the whole extension off on that one site, with no widget and no shortcuts, and nothing changes on your other sites.
Pause a site
- Open the site you want to pause.
- Click the Video Controls Plus icon in the toolbar.
- Click Pause on this site.
- Pick how long.
| Option | What happens |
|---|---|
| Until I turn it back on | The site stays paused until you resume it |
| For 1 hour | The pause ends on its own after 1 hour |
| For 4 hours | The pause ends on its own after 4 hours |
| For 1 day | The pause ends on its own after 1 day |
| For 1 week | The pause ends on its own after 1 week |
The page reloads. While the site is paused, there is no widget on it and no shortcut runs.
Resume a site
- Open the paused site.
- Open the popup. It shows Paused and how long is left.
- Click Resume.
Limits
The list of paused sites stays on this device and does not sync to your account, so a site you pause on your laptop is not paused on another computer.
The pause button appears only on a site where the extension is running. If the popup says Not enabled, there is nothing to pause.
Related keys
Pausing has no shortcut. To hide only the widget, press Esc or Ctrl + Alt + H. Both are in Default shortcuts, and Change a shortcut moves them.
