Version 15.2.0
When the extension clears Netflix's "device isn't part of the Netflix Household" screen, Netflix hides its own player controls, so keyboard controls now take over in that case. Every keyboard shortcut can be changed. A key can belong to only one shortcut, and your shortcuts follow you when you are signed in.
- New: Netflix recovery controls. After the extension clears the Household screen, Netflix keeps its player controls hidden. Only then, keyboard controls switch on:
Spaceto play or pause,←/→for 10 seconds,Shift + ←/Shift + →for 1 minute,Ctrl + ←/Ctrl + →for 5 minutes,Ctrl + 0toCtrl + 9to jump to the start or 10% to 90%,Ctrl + -to jump to 1 minute before the end,Vfor subtitles,Bfor the audio track, plus volume, mute and fullscreen. A small notice on the player tells you they are on and links to the full list. - New: change any shortcut, one key per action. Every shortcut, including the new Netflix ones, can be given another key in Settings, on the Keyboard Shortcuts tab. If the key you pick already belongs to another shortcut, you are told which one, with a link that takes you to it.
- New: shortcuts follow you when signed in. Your key bindings are saved in this browser and, while you are signed in, to your account, so another device picks them up the next time you open Settings on it.
- Fixed: announcements that never appeared. Four places where the Video Controls Plus team can post announcements (the Settings banner, the popup card, the one-time card and the opt-in notification) were showing nothing. They work now. Each one reads at most 20 entries.
